Silky-smooth defender Lewis Stevenson spent five years at West Coast for 10 games, all of them coming in the 2010 season, before shifting to Port Adelaide.

West Coast career[]

West Coast picked up Stevenson with their first pick in the 2008 rookie draft. He spent 2008 and 2009 playing for Claremont without looking like forcing his way into the seniors, and faced being sent back into the draft before a rule change allowed the club to keep him (as well as Will Sullivan and Callum Wilson) on the rookie list for a third season.

Stevenson then earned a debut early in the 2010 season with a series of fantastic performances with Claremont. Elevated off the rookie list in place of the injured Daniel Kerr, Stevenson ended up playing 10 games for the year, putting in some solid efforts including picking up 21 touches in a win over Melbourne and sneaking forward for a couple of goals against Adelaide.

Promoted to the senior list for 2011, Stevenson was unable to break into the team, although he was close on a few occasions. He spent the year at Claremont, winning a premiership medal. 2012 was a case of deja vu, with Stevenson again missing out on an AFL call-up and again playing in a WAFL flag.

With his time at West Coast looking certain to end, Port Adelaide expressed an interest in the defender and he shifted to the Power for a late pick.

Port Adelaide career[]

In his first season at Port Stevenson played 9 games, splitting his time between the AFL and SANFL side Norwood. He failed to add to that tally in 2014 and was delisted at the end of the year.

Post-AFL career[]

Stevenson joined Sydney University in the North East Australian Football League in 2015.[1]
