(36th Eagles player)
North Adelaide (SANFL) 2020
Former cricketer Katelyn Pope joined West Coast on the eve of the 2021 season as an injury replacement player.
West Coast career[]
Pope played elite-level cricket with the Adelaide Strikers and SA Scorpions before switching to football, playing for North Adelaide alongside Lauren Gauci and Amber Ward. Just days out from the start of the 2021 season, West Coast announced her signing as a replacement for the injured Mhicca Carter. On her signing, she was described as a goal-scoring threat blessed with speed and endurance.[1]
Pope quickly broke into the senior side, and played six games in her first season as an Eagle, but was not retained at the end of the year.
