(46th Eagles player)
Western Bulldogs (AFLW) 2019
Forward Kate Bartlett was obtained from Western Bulldogs ahead of the Eagles' entry into the AFLW competition.
Western Bulldogs career[]
Drafted by the Bulldogs in 2018 after achieving All-Australian selection as an under-18, Bartlett made a single appearance at AFLW level in 2019.[1]
West Coast career[]
Bartlett joined West Coast in April 2019, on the last day of the AFLW trade period, in exchange for pick 90 in the 2019 draft. She was unable to break into the side during West Coast's inaugural season, and was delisted at the end of the year.
Bartlett played in Peel's 2020 WAFLW premiership and backed that up with another flag in 2021, leading the league's goalkicking with 38 majors. After a wooden-spoon season in the summer of 2022, West Coast was granted the ability to sign four mature-age players, and Bartlett was the first announced. She was a fixture in the forward line during the second 2022 season but was plagued by inaccuracy, kicking 12 behinds and just three goals. Bartlett was in and out of the side in 2023, kicking three goals from six games.
