West Coast career[]
Ashman graduated from Subiaco's colts program in 2011 and spent four seasons in the Lions' reserves, playing eight senior games in that period. He finished runner-up in the WAAFL's best and fairest in 2017 and went one better in 2018, winning the CJ Jamieson Medal[1] and was also best afield in the Sea Eagles' premiership win.[2]
Ashman was named as one of the first six signings for West Coast's standalone reserves side.[3] He played seven WAFL games in 2019, before returning to Scarborough.
