A nuggetty halfback from Maryborough, north of Ballarat, Humm had five years in the west but spent most of that time at East Perth without ever managing to secure a permanent place in the senior team.
West Coast career[]
After arriving from the East, Humm played four games in his debut season and another five in 2002, including the elimination final against Essendon. 2003 was probably the high point of his career, playing eight games including racking up a career-high 17 touches against Richmond at Subiaco.
He managed just five games in 2004 and none in 2005, playing just nine WAFL games due to an ankle injury before being delisted.
Richmond career[]
Richmond threw him a lifeline via the 2006 rookie draft and he played one game in the yellow and black, coincidentally against West Coast, before being ignominiously dumped when captain Kane Johnson announced his delisting at Best & Fairest night before it had been made official.
Post-AFL career[]
Humm returned to East Perth in 2008 and 2009, before lining up for Augusta-Margaret River in the South West Football League where he won the league's Best and Fairest in 2012.
