Peel

Picture: Wikipedia

Founded in 1997 to service the growing Mandurah region, Peel had little success at senior level, regularly finishing in the bottom two on the premiership ladder prior to becoming the WAFL host club for Fremantle. The Thunder wears blue, white and teal and plays its home games at Rushton Park.

The club's city "zone" includes the southern fringe of the Perth metropolitan area, including suburbs such as Mandurah, Rockingham, Warnbro and Baldivis, while its country zone includes Capel, Leschenault, Collie and Harvey.

From 2014, Peel has acted as the "host club" for Fremantle in the WAFL, with all Dockers' listed players appearing for the Thunder when not selected for AFL duties. Under this arrangement Peel won a maiden premiership in 2016 and went back to back in 2017.

Peel has had only a few players drafted to West Coast and only one has appeared at senior level, defender Blayne Wilson.
