Swan Districts product Emily McGuire was signed from the Eagles' academy ahead of the club's entry into the AFLW competition.

Fremantle career[]

McGuire was drafted by Fremantle in 2017 and played three games for the Dockers in 2018, earning a Rising Star nomination, but was delisted at the end of the year.

West Coast career[]

McGuire was signed after spending 2019 with Swan Districts in the WAFLW competition, converting from a forward to a defender. On being signed she was described as having natural game sense and elite foot skills.[1] McGuire played the final three games of the truncated 2020 season, but was delisted at the end of the year.
