West Coast career[]
A Claremont junior, Elkington averaged nine tackles per game during the under-18 championships while impressing with her kicking skills. She concentrated on her schooling during her first season, and was not called upon to debut. Earning a debut in the opening round of 2023, Elkington played the first three games of the season before suffering a concussion, returning to play the final two rounds. She continued to suffer from concussion-related issues in 2024, and did not play a game. Elkington was delisted at the end of the season.
