(23rd Eagles player)
Midfielder Emily Bonser played three games after being signed from the Eagles' academy ahead of the club's entry into the AFLW competition.
Fremantle career[]
Bonser was an inaugural member of the Fremantle AFLW squad in 2017 but was denied the opportunity to make her league debut by dual knee injuries.
West Coast career[]
She was signed after a strong season for Claremont in the WAFLW competition. On being signed she was described as a tough midfielder with elite foot skills.[1] Bonser played three games during the Eagles' inaugural season, but announced a surprise retirement at the end of the season. She later revealed that she had been abused by her high school teacher, with the perpetrator eventually receiving a lengthy jail sentence.[2]
