West Coast announced that trio Kurt Mutimer, Matthew Allen and Keegan Brooksby would not be offered new contracts. Mutimer, who played four games in 2017, was the only one of the trio to have appeared for the Eagles at senior level. Allen did not play a game in his four years at the club, while the rookie-listed Brooksby won the Reserves best and fairest in his only season in blue and gold.

The 2020 pre-season schedule was released, with West Coast to meet Essendon and Fremantle in the rebadged Marsh Community Series. The Eagles were not required to leave Perth, with the matches fixtured at Lathlain Park and Arena Joondalup respectively.
Tuesday 29 October[]
The fixture for the 2020 AFLW season was released, with West Coast's historic first game scheduled against Collingwood at Victoria Park, before a derby at Perth Stadium in round 2.
Meanwhile, the opening round of the men's season was also announced, with the Eagles to host Melbourne.
