Wednesday 25 October[]

West Coast announced that experienced pair Sharrod Wellingham and Josh Hill, along with utility Tom Lamb, would not be offered contracts for 2018. Rookie duo Jordan Snadden and Tom Gorter were also delisted.

Thursday 26 October[]

The AFL announced the schedule for the JLT pre-season series, with West Coast not having to leave the Perth metro area for its two games. The Eagles were also revealed to have won the right to host the opening game at Perth Stadium, with Sydney to face West Coast in the final Sunday afternoon game of Round 1.

West Coast announced that former Adelaide skipper Nathan Van Berlo would join the club as an assistant coach.

The full fixture for the 2018 season was released, with West Coast facing two trips to Adelaide and Sydney but only four games in Melbourne. CEO Trevor Nisbett said that the club was particularly excited about playing at the new Perth Stadium seven times in the first half of the season.
