Wednesday 18 May[]

West Coast announced a contract extension for top draftee Campbell Chesser, with the Albury native adding two years to his draft contract to tie him to the club until the end of 2025. Chesser, sitting on the inactive list while rehabbing his reconstructed ankle, said that he was keen to join his teammates on the field in the future. Thursday 19 May[]

West Coast named star midfielders Luke Shuey and Andrew Gaff to return, with medical sub Patrick Naish, youngsters Brady Hough and Jack Williams and potential debutants Rhett Bazzo and Zane Trew included on an extended bench. Luke Foley (concussion), Jamie Cripps (infected leg) and Liam Ryan (hamstring and suspension) could not be considered.

Details of the upcoming AFLW season were finally announced, with the first 18-team season to start in late August and involve ten rounds, plus finals.

Friday 20 May[]

West Coast flew to Sydney, with a late change seeing Cripps return in place of Sam Petrevski-Seton (health and safety protocols). Naish was included on the final bench but Hough, Williams, Bazzo and Trew were named as emergencies.

The club opened up two spots for the upcoming mid-season draft, with Oscar Allen (foot) and Luke Edwards (groin) moved to the inactive list.

Carlton held off Sydney.

Saturday 21 May[]

West Coast's reserves suffered another heavy loss, defeated by 81 points by West Perth.

Geelong comfortably beat Port Adelaide, Western Bulldogs defeated Gold Coast, Narrm (the renamed Melbourne Football Club to mark Indigenous Round) beat North Melbourne, St Kilda defeated Adelaide and Richmond won their annual Dreamtime at the 'G clash with Essendon.

Sunday 22 May[]

West Coast were defeated by the Giants in Western Sydney, blown away early as the home side kicked seven goals in each of the first two quarters. Youngster Isiah Winder kicked three goals.

Hawthorn won a thriller over Brisbane and Collingwood upset Fremantle.

West Coast provided an injury update, with Josh Kennedy (knee) and Luke Shuey (back) hopeful of playing on the weekend, while Elliot Yeo (concussion) and Dom Sheed (ankle) set to return through the WAFL. Shannon Hurn (calf), Luke Foley (concussion) and Luke Strnadica (calf) were ruled out.
