Coach Worsfold hinted that star ruckman Naitanui was a chance to play his first game for the season against the Bulldogs. Naitanui had not appeared at any level, but Worsfold said he was going well at training. "He will play if he is declared available but the level to which he is available will determine whether or not he plays this week ... We want him to play longer and stronger next week and the week after. It’s more about how we want to manage him about whether he plays or not this week" - Mark Duffield, The West Australian: https://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/sport/afl/a/16962005/eagle-naitanui-could-face-dogs/

After his debut, Wellingham told The West Australian he was indebted to the club for allowing him to return to WA. "I was really lucky to be able to come home and find myself at the club I wanted to go to. I was really grateful from the time I walked through the door. I will be doing everything right even though I was a bit unlucky to have injured myself" - Mark Duffield, The West Australian: https://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/sport/afl/a/17045061/wellingham-in-debt-to-eagles/
