Wednesday 19 June[]

West Coast rang the changes at the selection table, with Shannon Hurn, Elliot Yeo and Oscar Allen returning from injury, Chris Masten and Jackson Nelson recalled and forward Jarrod Cameron named to debut. Making way were Jake Waterman, Josh Rotham, Josh Smith and premiership defender Tom Cole, while Willie Rioli and Nathan Vardy could not be considered due to suspension.

Thursday 20 June[]

West Coast dominated against Essendon at Perth Stadium, but inaccuracy in front of goal limited the final margin to 35 points. Dom Sheed had a game-high 36 possessions and kicked two goals, and Jack Redden had 30 touches in his 200th AFL game.

Nic Naitanui was officially named to return through the WAFL, with Tom Barrass and the formerly retired Drew Petrie also included.

Friday 21 June[]

Jeremy McGovern was offered a one-week suspension for a bump that sent Essendon's Matt Guelfi into a plastic chair on the boundary.

Sydney defeated Hawthorn in Callum Sinclair's 100th AFL game.

Saturday 22 June[]

West Coast's reserves demolished East Fremantle at East Fremantle Oval by 72 points, with Jarrod Brander and Brayden Ainsworth among the best. Naitanui got through his comeback unscathed but Barrass suffered a corked calf in the fourth term.

Melbourne beat Fremantle, Brisbane comfortably accounted for St Kilda and Port Adelaide upset the ladder-leading Geelong.

Sunday 23 June[]

The club announced a new three-year deal for Naitanui, taking him through to the end of the 2022 season. Naitanui said that it was a comfort to have the deal done ahead of his return to AFL football. Monday 24 June[]

West Coast announced that it would challenge McGovern's one-game ban.

Tuesday 25 June[]

McGovern's challenge was unsuccessful, ruling him out of the upcoming clash with Hawthorn.

In further bad news, his likely replacement Barrass was confirmed as being in doubt due to the calf injury he suffered in his WAFL comeback match.
