Post-match reporting was dominated by the West Coast's crowd's booing of Sydney veteran Adam Goodes and the respondent 'war-dance' goal celebration by Goodes' teammate and Swan Districts product Lewis Jetta. The club went so far as to put out a statement denouncing the crowd's behaviour, with CEO Trevor Nisbett saying the booing of Goodes, which had occurred several times throughout the season, was inappropriate. "It was a minority of our fans booing yesterday, but it has happened across the competition for a number of weeks and as an AFL community we have to address this matter. I implore all clubs to stop this nonsense" - Dale Miller, Craig O'Donoghue and Neil Devey, The West Australian: https://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/regional/south-west/a/29057272/no-room-for-racism-say-eagles-after-two-fans-evicted-for-abusing-goodes/
