Wednesday 24 July[]

Coach Worsfold confirmed that Naitanui would be rested for the weekend's game and beyond, amid growing concerns about the star ruckman's fitness. "He is definitely out this week. It depends on how he pulls up but he will have complete rest this week and probably most of next week and we will see how he goes. If some of his issues resolve then we will build him up and see how he goes. Thursday 25 July[]

Defender Brown signed a three-year deal to remain at West Coast until the end of the 2016 season. Brown had sought a trade to St Kilda over the previous offseason but had received much more opportunity in 2013.

West Coast named a weakened side to take on the Western Bulldogs, with Naitanui and Glass (both soreness) left out along with LeCras (foot) and Shuey (hamstring). Returning to the side were Lycett, Butler, Scott Selwood and Hams, while Sheppard, Wilson and Fraser McInnes named on the extended bench, the latter a chance of making his debut.

Friday 26 July[]

Adam Selwood was left out of the side when the squad was reduced, with Wilson taking his place. Sheppard and McInnes also missed the cut.

Hawthorn thrashed Essendon.

Saturday 27 July[]

Carlton defeated Gold Coast, North Melbourne demolished Melbourne, Collingwood beat GWS Giants, Fremantle defeated Adelaide and Geelong thrashed St Kilda.

Sunday 28 July[]

Western Bulldogs defeated West Coast by 22 points at Docklands, throwing a huge spanner in the Eagles' push for a finals spot.

Port Adelaide pipped Brisbane and Sydney comfortably beat Richmond.

Monday 29 July[]

The ankle injury that saw Masten subbed against the Bulldogs was revealed to be not as bad as first thought, but the midfielder was still expected to miss a fortnight.
