West Coast provided an AFLW injury update, with Niamh Kelly (dislocated finger) ruled out for several weeks and talls Parris Laurie (leg) and Andrea Gilmore (hand) to be monitored ahead of the club's Round 3 clash. In better news, Maddy Collier (concussion), Demi Liddle (back) and Melissa Caulfield (hamstring) were expected to press for selection, but Brianna Green (ankle) and Alicia Janz (calf) were still several weeks away.

The AFL belatedly announced the Eagles' fixture for the upcoming round of AFLW action after negotiations with various government bodies, with the team scheduled to take on the Lions in Brisbane on 15 February.

West Coast made two changes to the AFLW side, with Maddy Collier and Melissa Caulfield returning to the side at the expense of the injured Kelly (finger) and the omitted Kate Orme.

The AFL announced the next round of fixtures with the Eagles again travelling, this time to Sydney to take on GWS Giants.

Monday 15 February[]

West Coast's AFLW side fell to Brisbane at Hickey Park. The visitors started brightly and led shortly before halftime, but were blown away by the ladder-leading Lions in the third term. Aisling McCarthy was her side's best with 17 possessions and a goal.
