Wednesday 5 August[]

Geelong defeated North Melbourne and Melbourne thumped Adelaide.

Thursday 6 August[]

West Coast's fixture was further clarified with a home clash with GWS Giants on Sunday 23 August. The game was rumoured to be the Eagles' last home fixture, with the side set to return to Queensland following the Giants match.

Collingwood beat Sydney and St Kilda held off Gold Coast in a close contest.

Friday 7 August[]

GWS Giants won a thriller over Essendon.

Saturday 8 August[]

West Coast named Jack Redden and Josh Rotham to return to the side, in place of the omitted Brayden Ainsworth and the concussed Harry Edwards. Jeremy McGovern remained on the sideline with a fractured thumb but forward Liam Ryan was named despite being under an injury cloud with a hamstring concern.

Port Adelaide beat Richmond and Brisbane defeated Western Bulldogs.

Sunday 9 August[]

West Coast overcame a slow start to defeat Carlton by 22 points at Perth Stadium. The Blues took control of the contest in the second term and led by as much as 19 points early in the third before a run of five straight goals by the Eagles late in that term took the game away from the visitors. Dom Sheed was West Coast's best with 26 touches and two important final-quarter goals.

West Coast and Carlton's reserves played a scratch match at Lathlain Park.

Melbourne thrashed North Melbourne.

Monday 10 August[]

Skipper Luke Shuey was fined for tripping Carlton tagger Ed Curnow.

Geelong thumped St Kilda and Fremantle beat Hawthorn.

Tuesday 11 August[]

Vice-captain Dana Hooker was named as the inaugural AFLW Club Champion, narrowly beating skipper Emma Swanson. Imahra Cameron finished equal third and was also named Best First Year Player, while the injured Alicia Janz was named Best Club Person.

As the AFLW trade period continued, the Eagles obtained Fremantle defender Tayla Bresland in return for a fourth-round pick.

In injury news, West Coast announced that Jamaine Jones' season was over after requiring surgery on his injured hamstring tendon. Mark Hutchings also suffered a setback after requiring stitches on a cut toe, but in better news Jeremy McGovern (thumb) was likely to be available, as were Harry Edwards (concussion) and Nathan Vardy (ankle).

Collingwood overcame a scare to keep Adelaide winless.
