Ellis was all but ruled out for the season after injuring his AC joint early in the Collingwood game. Ellis was listed as 3-4 weeks.
West Coast announced the recruitment of former baseballer Corey Adamson under the league's three-year non-registered rule. Adamson played junior football with East Perth and was named an All-Australian in the under-15s before choosing to pursue a baseball career and signing with the San Diego Padres.
