West Coast made four changes to the side that capitulated against Sydney, with ruckman Luke Strnadica included for his debut in place of an injured Hugh Dixon, while Jake Waterman, Xavier O'Neill and Connor West were recalled in place of Josh Rotham, Zac Langdon and Jamaine Jones.

St Kilda beat GWS Giants in Canberra.

Saturday 23 April[]

West Coast were thrashed by Port Adelaide, with the previously winless Power breaking the game open with seven unanswered goals in the second term, then romping away in the second half to an 84-point win. The Eagles kicked the game's opening goal in the first minute, but couldn't manage another until the final quarter. Tim Kelly tried his best with 31 touches and six clearances.

The reserves didn't fare much better against South Fremantle, losing by 76 points. Greg Clark impressed in his quest for an AFL debut with 25 possessions and seven tackles.

Adelaide won a thriller over the Western Bulldogs, and Fremantle defeated Carlton.

Sunday 24 April[]

Geelong thumped North Melbourne to ensure the Eagles remained just ahead of the bottom-placed Roos, Brisbane defeated local rivals Gold Coast and an inaccurate Melbourne beat Richmond.

Monday 25 April[]

Sydney defeated Hawthorn, and Collingwood held off Essendon in their traditional Anzac Day clash.

Tuesday 26 April[]

West Coast provided an injury update, with Nic Naitanui (knee), Oscar Allen (foot) and Tom Joyce (ankle) still out indefinitely, with the latter needing surgery after suffering a setback. Andrew Gaff (ankle) and Hugh Dixon (calf) were a chance of returning, but Dom Sheed (ankle) was still a month away.
