(Reserves player)
The older brother of St Kilda's Blake Acres, Daniel was the first player signed to West Coast's standalone reserves side.
West Coast career[]
Acres played colts and reserves for West Perth, struggling with injury. before spending three seasons in the amateurs with his junior side Wanneroo. After playing in their B-grade premiership in 2017, he moved to Cervantes, winning another flag with the Tiger Sharks.[1]
Acres was named as one of the first six signings for West Coast's standalone reserves side, with the club describing him as a versatile defender.[2] Ironically, he had previously intended to join West Coast's former affiliate East Perth.[3] Acres found opportunities in West Coast's backline difficult to come across, making just two appearances in 2019, and returned to Cervantes for the 2021 season.
