Decorated former Melbourne skipper Daisy Pearce was appointed coach of West Coast's AFLW side ahead of the 2024 season.

Playing career[]

A champion women's footballer before the creation of AFLW, Pearce won ten Victorian Women's Football League premierships with the Darebin Falcons before becoming Melbourne's inaugural captain on 2017. She won three best and fairests with the Demons and three All-Australian selections, retiring after captaining the side to the AFLW Season Seven premiership in 2022.

Coaching career[]

On her retirement, Pearce became a development coach with Geelong's men's side, in addition to providing commentary on Channel Seven. She was revealed as the new coach of West Coast's AFLW side in December 2023, becoming the first woman to hold the role.
