(43rd Eagles player)
Skilled midfielder Courtney Rowley was West Coast's second pick in the 2021 draft, after Charlie Thomas.
West Coast career[]
Long considered a top prospect, Rowley was selected in the under-19 All-Australian side and played in Peel's 2020 WAFLW premiership, but missed the Thunder's repeat in 2021 with an ankle injury. On being drafted, she was described as a damaging midfielder with a combination of speed and skill.[1]
Rowley made her debut early in the 2022 season, playing five games but having only minimal impact. She stepped up in the 2022 spring season, cementing a spot on the wing. Her best game came against Richmond when she picked up a career-high 17 possessions and kicked an important goal, but she was pipped for a Rising Star nomination by her teammate Thomas.
