Richmond career[]

Cory Young played six senior games in two seasons at Richmond before being delisted at the end of the 1990 season.

West Coast career[]

Added to West Coast’s list for 1991, he was allocated to Subiaco where he spent most of the season. Young made just one West Coast appearance, kicking a goal in a rare win at Windy Hill.

Post-VFL/AFL career[]

After being delisted Young returned to Melbourne where he played for Frankston and Oakleigh in the Victorian Football Association. He won the league’s Best and Fairest in 1994 in Oakleigh’s last season before becoming an under-18s side.
