(292nd Eagles player)
Prolific midfielder Clay Hall was West Coast's third pick in the 2023 national draft.
West Coast career[]
The son of former West Coast and Geelong player Derek Hall, Clay won All-Australian honours at under-18 level and played senior football for Peel Thunder in 2023. He was selected by West Coast in the second round, with the Eagles trading up to obtain him. On being drafted, he was described as a strong-bodied and competitive inside midfielder.[1]
Considered a chance of a Round 1 debut after a strong pre-season, Hall's progress was interrupted by an ankle injury suffered during a scrimmage. After a lengthy WAFL apprenticeship, he made his debut in the final month of the season and played three of the final four games.
