Hard-working midfielder Clancy Rudeforth spent three years on West Coast's rookie list without playing a senior game, before going on to have a decorated career with Claremont.
West Coast career[]
Rudeforth captained WA's under-18 side before being picked up by West Coast in the 2002 rookie draft. He was given a third season on the rookie list after good form at Claremont, but was unable to gain an upgrade to the senior list and was delisted at the end of 2004.
Post-AFL career[]
After taking a year off to travel, Rudeforth returned to Claremont in 2006. He went on to become captain of the side in 2009, leading the Tigers to the 2011 premiership before announcing his retirement.
