Originally from Lucknow on Victoria’s east coast, Callum Chambers was a speedy wingman with a booming left foot.

West Coast career[]

Callum Chambers was a first-round selection for West Coast in 1997 but had to wait more than two years to make his senior debut.

Chambers’ best season came in 2002 when he played 21 games and kicks 22 goals. He struggled to maintain his place in the Eagles’ star-studded midfield in the following two years, playing just a handful of games, and at the end of 2004 he moved to Carlton to seek more opportunities.

Carlton career[]

Chambers’ biggest success at Carlton came in the 2005 pre-season, when he became somewhat of an expert exponent of the “super goal” and helped the Blues to a preseason premiership. He had much less of an impact during the regular season, playing just 12 games in two years before being delisted.

Post AFL career[]

Chambers returned to WA to play for West Perth, retiring at the end of the 2010 season. He then moved to Cervantes in the Central Midlands Coastal Football League, and has a role with West Coast as part of the match-day presentations at home games.
