West Coast careerEdit

After playing junior football with Warwick-Greenwood, Riach made the switch to basketball and shifted to Melbourne to play for Altona in the Big V competition. He received a scholarship to play college basketball in Wyoming,[1] but turned his back on it to return to football, signing with West Coast in August 2018.

Riach spent his first season learning the ropes in West Coast's reserves side, showing promise in defence, before suffering a stress fracture in his lower leg that interrupted the latter part of his year.
