A strong-marking forward with the potential to transition into the midfield, Brant Colledge was the first player taken by West Coast in the 2012 draft, albeit in the 40s.

West Coast career[]

Colledge struggled with injury in his first season at West Coast. After starting the season in Perth's reserves, he broke his arm in his league debut. He made his way back through the reserves, but injured his hamstring on returning to the league side.

He finally made his debut early in 2014 after a solid pre-season, appearing in a win over St Kilda and holding his spot the following week against Geelong. During the year Colledge impressed with East Perth as a big-bodied midfielder but struggled to have an impact in his two AFL games. Again he suffered a bad injury run, including being knocked out in a sickening collision with teammate Scott Lycett in a Foxtel Cup game.

After signing a two-year deal towards the end of 2014 Colledge was the forgotten man in 2015, seemingly not in coach Adam Simpson's plans despite putting up some big numbers with East Perth early in the season. He managed just a single appearance, coming on as the sub late in a win over Geelong, and asked to be traded at the end of the year. When no team was interested, he was delisted but redrafted as a rookie.

Colledge was promoted back to the senior list early in the year but got no further than the emergencies. Used less in East Perth's midfield than in previous years, his form was patchy and he was even dropped to the reserves side at one stage. At the end of the year he was delisted for the second time.

Post-AFL career[]

Colledge returned to his original club Perth for the 2017 season.[1]
