The red-haired Robbins spent two years on West Coast's list without playing a game before being traded to Brisbane, and later played for North Melbourne.

West Coast career[]

Robbins, whose father Graham played a handful of games for Richmond, was picked up by West Coast in the third round in the 1993 draft but remained in Victoria for the 1994 season. He eventually moved to Perth for 1995 and played at WAFL level with Perth, but was unable to break into the senior side.

At the end of the 1995 season he was traded to Brisbane for a late pick.

Brisbane and North Melbourne career[]

Robbins played 52 games across six seasons for Brisbane, before being delisted after the 2001 season. He was then picked up by North Melbourne, where he played another 40 games. After not managing a senior game in 2004, he was delisted by the Roos, bringing his AFL career to an end.

Post-AFL career[]

Robbins, who holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology, spent five seasons as a mentor to North Melbourne's leadership group before joining St Kilda as Head of Mental Health and Wellbeing ahead of the 2020 season.[1]
