Midfielder Bella Lewis made an instant impact after being taken with West Coast's first pick in the 2020 draft.

West Coast career[]

Originally from Scarborough, Lewis trampolined at a national level as a junior in addition to her football achievements. On being drafted, she was described as having tremendous endurance and the ability to play in a variety of positions.[1]

Lewis turned in an outstanding first season, playing every game and leading the club in tackles, as well as finishing second in total disposals. At the end of the year she was a runaway winner of the Club Champion award, as well as the Best First Year Player gong.

Like many of her teammates, Lewis was down on form in 2022, but still finished top five in the Club Champion count. She bounced back in the second season played that year, leading the side in tackles and finishing second behind skipper Emma Swanson in disposals and clearances.
