(10th Eagles player)
Defender Ashton Hill was signed from the Eagles' academy ahead of the club's entry into the AFLW competition, but missed almost all two full seasons with a knee injury.
West Coast career[]
Hill was signed after spending 2019 with East Fremantle in the WAFLW competition, having crossed from West Perth the previous year. On being signed she was described as reading the game well and having elite foot skills.[1] Unfortunately, she injured her knee in the club's first game, requiring a reconstruction that ruled her out of the rest of the season. Hill was moved to the inactive list for the 2021 season after doctors recommended a conservative approach to her rehab, allowing the club to recruit Demi Liddle.[2]
Hill returned early in the 2022 season and quickly became an important member of the backline, finishing seventh in the Club Champion count, before announcing a surprise retirement at the end of the season.
