Victorian key forward Archer Reid was West Coast's second pick in the 2023 national draft.
West Coast career[]
The younger brother of Essendon defender Zach Reid, Archer Reid spent 2023 with Gippsland Power and Vic Country. He was taken by West Coast with the first pick on night two of the draft, 24 hours after namesake and Vic Country teammate Harley Reid was taken with the opening pick of the draft.
After a delayed start due to a knee injury, Reid spent his rookie season playing as a forward target for the Eagles' reserves side, impressing despite a lack of opportunities. He kicked 17 goals from his 15 games and was close to a senior call-up on several occasions.
