(267th Eagles player)
Former Hawthorn defender Angus Dewar appeared for West Coast as a top-up player early in the 2022 season.
Hawthorn career[]
Originally from Ongerup in the Great Southern regiopn, Dewar was drafted by Hawthorn in the 2010 national draft (under his original name, Angus Litherland). He debuted for the Hawks in 2014 and played 25 games before being delisted at the end of the 2016 season.
Subiaco and West Coast career[]
On his return to Western Australia, Dewar signed with Subiaco, playing in premierships in 2018, 2019 and 2021. In 2022, to ensure that clubs would have enough players to field a side each week, the AFL permitted sides to name 20 players on a "Covid contingency list". Dewar was one of West Coast's listed players, and called up to play in the midst of an availability crisis, stationed in defence against the Kangaroos. That was his only appearance for the Eagles, with Dewar playing out the season with Subiaco.
