South Fremantle (WAFL) 2010-2013
Wesley-Curtin (WAAFL) 2013-2014
While McCarrey was unable to gain selection at AFL level, he has had a long and successful career in the WAFL with East Fremantle and South Fremantle.
West Coast career[]
A capable player at either end of the ground, McCarrey spent the 2001 and 2002 seasons on the rookie list but could not gain a senior call-up and was delisted at the end of 2002.
Post-AFL career[]
After a break from football, McCarrey returned to East Fremantle in 2005. He won the club's best and fairest in 2005 (in a three-way tie with Kasey Green and Kris Miller) and again in 2008, as well as leading the Sharks' goalscoring in 2006 and 2009 and representing WA on several occasions. McCarrey switched to port rivals South Fremantle in 2010 and played 62 games for the Bulldogs before retiring during the 2013 season.[1]
