Former netballer Andrea Gilmore played 11 games after initially being signed to the inaugural AFLW squad as an injury replacement.

West Coast career[]

Gilmore, who missed the entire 2019 season with a knee injury, was training with West Coast before being upgraded to replace injured ruck Alicia Janz. On being added to the squad, she was described as a resilient, strong-marking forward.[1]

Unable to be selected for a game in 2020 due to list rules, Gilmore was delisted at the end of the season but redrafted, and made her debut in the opening round of 2021. She played the first three games but suffered a concussion against Brisbane, and did not appear again.

Gilmore played eight of a possible ten games in 2022, but did not kick a goal despite spending most of her time forward. She announced her retirement at the end of the 2022 season.
