North Melbourne, St Kilda and Gold Coast career[]
A talented multi-sport athlete, Drennan played college basketball and track-and-field in the USA before returning to her home town of Melbourne, initially playing basketball with Nunawading before switching to football.[1] She was a co-winner of the Southern Saints' VFLW best and fairest in 2018 before being picked up by North Melbourne as an expansion signing. Drennan played seven games for North in 2019 before again joining an expansion club, this time St Kilda where she played five games. She was then traded to Gold Coast were she flourished, winning the Suns' best and fairest in the first 2022 season and finishing runner up in the second.
West Coast career[]
After playing 40 games for Gold Coast over four seasons, Drennan was enticed to move again and traded to West Coast in return for a second-round pick that the Eagles had obtained in the Aisling McCarthy trade. She was an immediate contributor to the side, leading the side in clearances and tackles and finishing equal second in disposals, and achieved a top-five finish in the Best and Fairest.
