Irish forward-midfielder Aisling McCarthy played 31 games after crossing from Western Bulldogs.

Western Bulldogs career[]

Drafted by the Bulldogs in 2018 after a successful Gaelic football career with Tipperary, McCarthy played 12 games over two seasons.

West Coast career[]

McCarthy joined West Coast in August 2020, in exchange for a priority pick in the 2020 draft. She fitted seamlessly into the Eagles' midfield, kicking two goals from her seven appearances and finishing runner-up in the Club Champion medal in her first season. Unfortunately, her 2022 season was ended early by a broken wrist, but McCarthy rebounded in the spring 2022 season, playing every game and finishing third in the side in disposals and equal second in clearances and equalled her second-place Club Champion finish in 2023. She again played every game in 2023, kicking four goals, but sought a trade to Fremantle at the end of the season and was swapped in a deal that saw Roxanne Roux come the other way.
