West Coast's horror season continued, thrashed by the Bulldogs and losing prime midfield mover Dana Hooker in the process. The Eagles again went scoreless in the first half, finally breaking through for a goal through Hayley Bullas in the third term, by which time the game was already well gone. Evie Gooch led the way for her side with 22 possessions from defence.

From the papers[]

The West Australian[]

"Playing their first AFLW clash under lights at Optus Stadium, there wasn’t much to celebrate for West Coast who went down 1.2 (8) to 10.8 (68).

For the fourth time this season, West Coast went goalless in the first half and the Eagles also failed to kick a major during the first quarter for the eighth time in nine starts.

Hayley Bullas finally got the Eagles on the board late in the third quarter but the damage was already done."[1]
