Needing to cut their list down from 34 to 30, West Coast delisted a number of players including Sasha Goranova and netball convert Verity Simmons, also farewelling defender Evie Gooch to retirement. As the AFLW draft went fully national for the first time, the club took full advantage, picking Victorian midfielder Lucia Painter inside the top 10 among four Victorian and South Australian selections.
