2012-13 offseason

West Coast had a busy offseason with two homesick West Aussies, Collingwood's Sharrod Wellingham and St Kilda's Jamie Cripps, nominating the club as their preferred destination and Koby Stevens asking for a trade to the Bulldogs. All the deals got done, although Cripps' took until the final hour, and for good measure West Coast found Lewis Stevenson a new home and picked up former top-4 pick Cale Morton on the cheap.

Free agency was introduced and premiership forward Quinten Lynch was the first Eagle to take advantage, signing with Collingwood for two years.
