After the worst on-field performance in West Coast's history, the club cut deep into the list. A number of players, particularly key-position players, were moved on including premiership centre-half-forward Ashley Hansen and one-time leading goalscorer Ben McKinley. The Eagles did particularly well on draft day, adding Andrew Gaff, Jack Darling and Scott Lycett.
